A white jade 'phoenix' circular plaque,
Qing dynasty, 18th century
清十八世紀 白玉團鳳珮
the flat plaque with a slightly convex principal side, rendered with a phoenix curled up in a roundel, its body with finely incised plumage, the other side detailed with a smaller bird shown in profile, the smoothly polished stone of even white colour with a faint russet vein to its tail
