of rectangular form with cut corners, the lid centred with a commemorative gold bust of Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor (1741-1790), all sides with an engine-turned pattern of contrasting reeded lozenges, within narrow pale blue and black enamel borders and gold ornamented borders, French prestige marks including maker's mark, charge mark of Julien Alaterre and date letter K, Viennese early 19th century control mark
