A gold and enamel snuff box, Geneva, circa 1792-1798

oval, the lid enameled with a young shepherdess promenading a sheep and its lamb in landscape, meeting a men dressed as a gardener, on a translucent blue enamel ground over sun-ray engine turning, within gold husk border and white enamel rim on opaque white enamel ground, framed by gold, pale blue and white paillon border of stylised fruit and flowerheads, the base similarly decorated around translucent dark blue enamel over sun-ray engine turning, the sides additionally decorated with fine paillon flower vases as dividers, marks rubbed but probably Guidon Rémond & Co. for Guidon Rémond Gide,
