Gérald Genta was urged by other watch manufacturers to visit Japan, a country for which he harboured a true passion. On the course of this trip the biggest and most famous Japanese watchmaker asked him to create watches using his own name. This is how Gérald Genta own brand was born. With this new birth saw a turning point in the watches Genta started to create.
The present lot, painted in 1985 is a great representation of how Gérald Genta’s creative genius changed direction after creating his own brand.
