As one of his most brilliant and successful creation, the Retro was also used in lady’s versions. Far from only being a smaller watch for ladies, Gérald Genta used the layout of the dial dictated by the complication as a starting point of his design. He used the blue guilloché dial and a rarely seen cross shape case to create a piece that would be both instantly recognizable yet totally different to the other watches he designed.
