Daniel Quare and Stephen Horseman, No.197. A George I quarter repeating table clock movement, London, circa 1720, with later associated dial and case


6½-inch replaced dial with mask and scroll spandrels, matted centre with mock pendulum aperture, bearing the signature and numbered on a reserve 197, Dan: Quare & Ste: Horseman, London, subsidiary regulation and strike/silent dials, the arch with a date dial flanked by engraved birds and foliate scrolls, the fusee movement with six knopped and ringed pillars, verge escapement with rise and fall regulation, striking on a bell and pull quarter repeating on a nest of six bells, the backplate signed and numbered as the dial and engraved with a basket of flowers, birds and folate scrolls, the associated case with inverted bell top and gilt-brass carrying handle above foliate door frets and moulded base with block feet
