11-inch latched dial with winged cherub and scroll spandrels, signed along the lower edge Isaac Lowndes in ye Pall Mall, matted centre with ringed winding holes and date aperture, the month-going movement with five latched, knopped and ringed pillars, five wheel trains and anchor escapement, external locking plate striking on a bell, the restored case with flat top moulded cornice, frieze fret and gilt-capped spiral pilasters to the rising hood, rectangular trunk door with lenticle and inlaid with panels of bird and flower marquetry, the plinth with similar inlay, on bun feet

202cm; 6ft 7½in high

Dial in good condition. Movement is complete and running at time of cataloguing but may benefit from a light clean and fresh oil, appaears to retain the original wheel trains throughout. Restored case in generally good condition throughout with old repairs, scuffs and marks. With pendulum, 2 brass-cased weights, winder and case key.
