Nike Air Max History of Air Pack

In 1987, Nike introduced the revolutionary Air Max 1, the first Nike shoe to sport the Air-cushioned sole. Nike entered the 1980s with strong market share of the sneaker market, but by the middle of the decade it was clear that they would need bold ideas to retain their edge. To Nike’s luck, legendary footwear-designer Tinker Hatfield released the radical Air Max 1 design at the perfect time.

On offer is an eight pair release of Air Max silhouettes. Manufactured in 2005, the pack pays tribute to the innovation and evolution of the design in Nike's nineteen years of Air Max designs. Throughout each rendition, the famous Air Max silhouette always remains intact, despite the air bubble getting larger throughout the years. This offering celebrates the beloved design and the evolution of the Air Max lineage.
