circa 1977

four rows of four rods (16 rods total)

with cylinder tops

beryllium copper, brass

37 x 12 x 12 in. (94 x 30.5 x 30.5 cm)

cylinder tops: 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm) high each; 1 1/4 in. (3.2 cm) each diameter

Overall in very good condition. When viewed firsthand, the sculpture displays a golden bronze hue. The metal surfaces throughout present with some light surface wear and scattered, extremely minor scratches and abrasions consistent with age, movement and gentle handling. The metal with some occasional small areas of discoloration and verdigris consistent with age and the natural evolution of the medium. The base with slightly more concentrated wear, spotty discolorations and rust marks particularly concentrated to the connection point of the rods to the base, not visually distracting. The cylinder tops are in very good and stable condition. The rods overall with some very minor and subtle bending, which does not impact functionality or stability and is only visible upon close inspection. When sounded, the sculpture produces a low bell tone.
