after the painting by Otto Knille, signed TH Kai...(?), impressed sceptre mark, KPM, impressed numerals and symbols, framed


plaque height 8 7/8 in.; width 11 3/8 in.

22.6 cm.; 29 cm

Otto Knille (1832-1898) painted this subject in 1873 and is considered his masterpiece. The painting is now preserved in the Alte Nationalgallerie, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
