Born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1986, Hsin-Yao Tseng has exhibited in over 90 solo and group exhibitions throughout the US, Europe and Taiwan since 2008. His works are created in an expressive manner that honors the Western tradition while signaling an edgy, contemporary complexity. His curiosity and energy propel him toward experimentation and innovation. Winning over 30 awards and honors in various painting competitions over the last 14 years, in 2014 he was named an ARC (Art Renewal Center) Living Master and in 2018, he was Awarded Signature Status with the Portrait Society of America. He has taught as an instructor at both the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA and at the San Jose Art Academy, Santa Clara, CA. He is currently represented at a number of Galleries across the US and in Taipei, Taiwan. He has been published in numerous magazines including PleinAir Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, American Art Collector, The Artist’s Magazine, and International Artist Magazine among others. The artist’s use of light and atmospheric effects is strongly present in his work, finding beauty in city scenes and urban landscapes.
