76 by 122mm., ink drawing, signed with initials 'EHS' in lower right corner, captioned in pencil above image (and below mount) "Winnie the Pooh finds a tail" and below image (and below mount) "Christopher Robin had nailed it on", with artist's name and address on reverse, green morocco edging, mounted, some browning and minor pin holes not affecting image
This original illustration is reproduced on page 52 of Winnie-the-Pooh (Methuen, 1926). It is from Chapter 4 ("In which Eeyore loses a tail and Pooh finds one").
