There are some flaws in the cast on the rim and in areas on the body, all consistent with age and the type. The corrosion has obscured several details of the decoration but it's now well stabilised with a nice patina of cuprite and malachite encrustations. There do not appear to be any recent repairs or damages.

Compare the decoration of this vessel with that found on the pieces recovered from the Sinan wreck, which sunk off the coast of Korean near Sinan on its way to Japan in 1323.
