FIRST EDITIONS, A TALL CRISP COPY with attractive decoration. Antoninus (1389-1459), a Dominican and a follower of Giovanni Dominici (see lot 95), was the first prior of the new monastery of San Marco and became archbishop of Florence in 1446. He advised Nicholas V about the reform of the clergy. This volume contains his works on ecclesiastical punishments and on matrimony, along with some papal bulls on the subject of excommunication.
