one side painted with Herakles and two Greek warriors each fighting an Amazon, and the other with a youth on horseback flanked by four male figures, a frieze of animals on top of the rim.

Height 27 cm.

Repaired from multiple fragments with painted fills along breaklines and some small areas of restoration. Most of shield on left side of vase restored, including part of adjacent left figure’s upper thigh and hips. Minor chips and abrasions along edges of rim and handle plates. Two shallow chips above head of Herakles. Black glaze abraded on some of animals on top of rim.
