The work has been examined partially framed. Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and affixed to the overmount along all four edges with tape. This work is in overall very good condition.

The head of this work is inspired by an Etruscan terracotta votive head dating from the 4th-3rd century BC. Eugène Berman, who lived in Italy, was a collector of Etruscan archaeology, from which he drew inspiration for this work.
