Carved hardwood with natural earth pigments

23 in by 7 ¼ in (58.4 cm by 18.4 cm)

In good condition overall, with no repairs or restorations apparent. The remaining pigment appears original and in stable condition. The shield has scuffs and battle scarring and marking in many areas to the front. To the reverse, the timber has a few small areas of old insect damage and two holes towards the top at one end, where the shield has been pierced for suspension. Has a stand.
