Carved and fluted hardwood

21 ¾ in by 9 ⅜ in (55.4 by 23.8 cm)

The coolamon is a very early example with a rich and genuine patina. A small natural hole, approximately 3 mm in diameter, to one side; the hole is visible in the catalogue photographs. Pierced twice for suspension in the middle, approximately 5 cm from the top at one end. An old "v" shaped crack to one side at the top, most likely created from traditional use. Has a stand.
