Kitae [forging pattern]: Tight ko-mokume jihada 

Hamon [tempering pattern]: Ko-midare into the boshi, with a long kaeri, in ko-nie

Boshi [tip]: Ko-maru

Horimono [carvings]: Bonjisukenkanji on the ura

Nakago [tang]: Two mekugi-anamumeimarujiri

Habaki [collar]: Gold

Koshirae [mount]: Black lacquer saya, the fuchi-kashira and are all shakudo with details in gilt, of blossoming peonies, the gilt and shakudo menuki of two chrysanthemum flowers, the kozuka gilt with shakudo, decorated with a chrysanthemum spray, the tsuka is black ito, the tsuba with a katydid among leaves and flowers

Nagasa [length from kissaki to machi]: 37. cm., 14 ¾ in. 

Saki-haba [width at the yokote]: 2.5 cm., 1 in. 

Moto-haba [width at the machi]: 2.9 cm., 1 ⅛ in. 

The koshirae: 61 cm., 24 in. 

The black lacquer koshirae with some old wear to the top edge and kozuka slide, with some areas of re-lacquering.
