Korean artist Jong Oh uses humble materials—hand-painted strings, piano wire, thin chains, and delicate metal rods—to compose geometric, minimalist arrangements evoking gravity and light. In his recent explorations with watercolor paints, such as in Doosan #14, he transforms these minimal sculptural conceptions into elegant monochrome compositions on paper. As the artist noted, “The works become subtle and restrained visual poems. Each only a few lines long, but addressing the universal.”
