Although signed by Zhou Leyuan, close comparison of the bottle with other known works clearly demonstrates it to be a rare creation of Ziyizi. See, for instance, the same precise style and composition of the landscape on an inside-painted rock-crystal snuff bottle by Ziyizi, dated 1898, from the Mary and George Bloch collection, sold at Bonhams Hong Kong, 25th May 2011, lot 65.
