Possibly Luigi Michelini (1830-1855) | Profile portrait cameo with the Apollo Belvedere

This impressive and finely carved cameo representing the Apollo Belvedere recalls the work of Luigi Michelini. Michelini was apprenticed in the Roman studio of Guseppe Girometti (1780-1951). Later basing himself in Paris where he is listed in the 1839 Pocket companion. He exhibited several cameos at the Paris salon of 1855.
