Tricasso (1491-c. 1550) was a Dominican and a mathematician from Mantua. His treatise on chiromancy is based on that of Bartolommeo della Rocca, better known as Cocles. It was placed on the Index of Prohibited Books alongside other works of chiromancy and divination. This is the first edition of Tricasso's Epitoma, though he had previously published a commentary on Cocles (1525).

The woodcut on the verso of the title-page (with the initials I.C.) also appears (slightly less worn) in the 1525 edition of Tricasso's Chiromantia (Edit16 58517).
