The plain polished cover opening to reveal Christ the Saviour of the World flanked by Saints Anne and Nicholas painted on metal with mica overlay, all with gold halos, elaborately decorated with filigree, niello scrolls and seed and bezel-set pearls within gilt borders, struck throughout with maker's mark, 84 standard, the halos 56 standard, reverse with old exhibition label no. 280
