Part I

Original canvas, which is bucking slightly in the upper left corner. There are a few small protrusions with very minor associated cracks along the right edge. The white paint shows minor cracks above the rhombus, and the odd crack is visible elsewhere. There is a small area of circular craquelure towards the centre of the bottom edge. There is a scuff mark in the lower left and a few minor scuffs elsewhere. Abrasions and minor losses are visible along the edges. There is a light layer of surface dirt with drip marks and staining along the left edge. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. Unframed.

Part II

Original canvas which is buckling slightly in the lower right corner. The tacking edges are covered in white tape. There is a small protrusion with minor associated paint loss to the bottom edge. There is the odd crack to the white paint, most noticeably above the rhombus and near the centre of the left edge. Abrasions and minor losses are visible along the edges and there are a few scattered scuffs and scratches elsewhere. The surface is covered in a light layer of dirt with handling marks and staining in places, including faint drip marks along the right edge. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. Unframed.
