Cubistic Woman

signed DH., titled and dated '63. (lower left)

coloured pencil, pencil and charcoal on paper

unframed: 32 by 25.5cm.; 11½ by 10in.

framed: 58 by 49.5cm.; 22¾ by 19½in.

Executed in 1963.

The sheet is sound and is adhered to the backing card with tabs in the upper corners. Generally in very good overall condition, with fresh strong passages of colour.

The sheet undulates very slightly and there are minor creases to the sheet, including a diagonal crease near the lower edge. The left and right edges of the sheet are stained, with evidence of adhesive tape to the verso, likely from a previous mount. The corners are very slightly rounded. A few spots of studio matter.

Float mounted and held under glass in a simple wood frame.
