Bedford Studio Sketch No. 8

signed DH. and dated 78 (lower right)

pen and ink on two joined sheets of paper

unframed: 28 by 61cm.; 11in by 24in.

framed: 47 by 80.5cm.; 18½ by 31¾in.

Executed in 1978.

The work is executed on two sheets of paper which have been joined with two tabs of tape to the upper and lower edges. Both sheets are attached to the mount with tabs of tape at intervals along the upper edge verso. Some slight cockling to the sheet. The work appears to be in very good overall condition.

There are Artist's pinholes to the upper corners and along the upper edge at intervals. A small stain to the lower right hand corner. Some further minor stains elsewhere. Some instances of the artist's fingerprints. A few minor scattered specks of surface dirt and matter. The sheet appears to be time stained and the ink has faded slightly.

Held under glass in a pale green mount and plain wooden drawing frame.
