Figure in Space

signed with monogram and numbered 6/8 (on left leg); stamped with foundry mark Susse Fondeur Paris (on right leg)

bronze

width: 51cm; 20in.

height: 34.5cm.; 13½in.

Conceived in 1956, the present work is number 6 from the edition of 8.

The sculpture appears sound. The sculpture appears to be in very good overall condition. Light rubbing to raised areas, most prominently on her back. There is a possible very slight bend to the armature in front of the figure's upper body with some variation in colour where the material has been welded by the artist. All elements of the armature appear intact. There is some surface dirt and dust to creviced areas. The sculpture has a separate wooden base and another separate polished stone base.
