framed: 35 by 40cm.; 13¾ by 15¾in.

Executed in 1952. 


We are grateful to the William Scott Foundation for their kind assistance with the cataloguing of the present work, which is registered with the Archive as no.2081.

The card is not laid down, but is adhered to a mount via a hinge strip along the top edge. Generally in good overall condition There are handling marks to the extreme edges and corners, including some minor traces of light losses, not wholly visible in the present mount. There is a slight diagonal imperfection to the card running up from the bottom left corner, through the bottom left quadrant, with a few further light creases. Minor light surface rubs to the black pigment in the centre, only visible upon very close inspection. There is discoloration to the pigments and time staining to the card. There are pinholes to the upper corners and edge. Housed behind glass in a thin gilt frame, set within a card mount.
