oil on board

122 by 61cm., 48 by 24in.

Framed: 136 by 74cm., 53½ by 29in.

Structure: The work is executed on board and appears sturdy. This work is framed.

Surface: On close inspection, there are areas exhibiting patchy varnish. The work exhibits some minor spots/drips of brown residue. Examples of this can be found to the area in front of the central figure's face, amongst the figure's feet, the background in the upper half of the painting and a handful in other places. The work exhibits light detritus in places across the work, most visible where the artist has employed dark pigment. Please note, there are a handful of light scratches on the work, visible on close inspection. The lower edge of the work exhibits a few nail heads and holes, which appear contemporary to the creation of the work. The work could benefit from a professional clean.

UV Report: Inspection under UV light reveals no clear signs of restoration or repair.

The work is in a good and stable condition.
