oil on canvas

canvas: 31 ½ by 43 ⅝ in.; 80 by 110.8 cm.

The canvas is lined and stable on its stretcher. The overall image reads well with noticeable abrasion along the edges most likely from a previous frame. Under UV inspection, the varnish appears milky and there are several spots of retouching in the figures' drapery. The painting can be hung as is. Offered unframed.
