Impressive sapphire and diamond necklace

Harry Winston

海瑞溫斯頓 | 藍寶石配鑽石項鏈

Composed of a line of brilliant-cut and marquise-shaped diamonds, the centre set with a pear-shaped diamond supporting a detachable pendant set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 126.43 carats, framed with brilliant-cut and pear-shaped diamonds, length approximately 680mm, pendant may also be worn as a brooch, unsigned, necklace numbered, pendant with maker's marks for Jacques Timey.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 116036, stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating, and Gübelin report no. 21030024, stating that the sapphire does not show indications of heating, both reports with appendix letters.

Cf.: Laurence S. Krashes, Harry Winston. The Ultimate Jeweler, New York, 1993, pg. 187 for a drawing of the diamond necklace.
'The described sapphire exhibits an impressive size and weight of 126.434ct, combined with an attractive colour and an excellent purity. Its colour is further pronounced by its well-proportioned cutting style, resulting in vivid blue hues due to multiple internal reflections.'

Excerpt from the SSEF appendix letter.
