The stylized sunflower featuring an old mine-cut diamond weighing 7.17 carats, within a border of baguette diamonds, the leaves accented with old European-cut diamonds, gross weight approximately 62 dwts; circa 1940.

In good condition, with light wear and patina to the gold, commensurate with age. Mounted in 18 karat gold and platinum. The diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 19.00 carats are approximately H-J color, VS-SI clarity. Originally accompanied by Gübelin report no. 9909021 stating that the diamond weighing 7.17 carats is K color, VS1 clarity. Dimensions approximately 4½ x 2½ inches. The location of the pin stems allows the brooch to be worn in a variety of directions.
