Executed in 1890.

Original canvas. Undulates slightly. The work appears in very good overall condition. Some minor frame abrasions to the edges. Some minor traces of craquelure to the lady and behind her, only visible upon close inspection. Ultraviolet light reveals a couple of spots of retouching near the upper edge. Some areas of retouching corresponding to the above mentioned craquelure about the lady. Some occasional minor retouchings elsewhere. Held in a gilt plaster frame.
