Scène de théâtre
signed Marie Laurencin (lower right)
watercolour, pen and ink, and pencil on paper
28 by 38cm., 11 by 15in.
Framed: 47 by 55.5cm., 18½ by 21⅞in.
Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down. There is an artist's pinhole to each of the four corners. The sheet is slightly time-stained and there is some slight mount-staining to the upper and right edges. There are three tiny indentations to the centre of the upper left quadrant. The sheet is very slightly undulated in places, and there are a few very minor spots of foxing. The edges of the verso are taped. This work is in overall good condition.
