Le bouquet

pastel, brush and ink and gouache on paper

31 by 27.7cm., 12¼ by 10⅞in.

Framed: 44.7 by 39cm., 17 5/8 by 15 3/8 in.

Executed circa 1971.

The authenticity of this work has kindly been confirmed by the Comité Chagall.

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and attached to the overmount at all four corners. The sheet is time-stained. The left edge is deckled and the right edge is slightly uneven. There is a vertical crease running along the left edge, only visible upon very close inspection. There are a few minor spots of foxing in places and a few small glue remnants to the verso. This work is in overall good condition.
