Venise, Il Campanile, Le Palais Ducal et La Piazzeta vue prise de San Giorgio

signed E. Boudin, dated 95. (lower right) and inscribed Venise (lower left & lower right)

oil on canvas

49.4 by 73.3cm., 19½ by 28⅞ in.

Framed: 67 by 90.5cm., 26⅜ by 35⅝ in.

Painted in Venice in 1895.

The canvas is lined. Inspection under UV light reveals several scattered small spots and fine lines of sensitively-executed retouching, mainly to the edges, and two slightly larger areas of retouching (each approximately 2.5 by 1cm) to the upper and lower left corners. There are some fine lines of craquelure in places. This work is in overall good condition.
