This minute repeater by IWC is truly exceptional. With skeletonised watches, there is nowhere for the watchmaker to hide ineptitudes. Every surface on both sides of the movement is on full display, so each component needs to be finished to perfection. Due to the amount of components required to construct a repeating mechanism, the fact that this watch is skeletonised speaks to the craftsmanship involved. Housed in IWC’s storied and famous Portugeiser case which was originally created specially to carry their large chronometer standard pocketwatch movements, this repeater strikes a whole and true tone.
Presented in almost like new condition, the watch is limited to 50 pieces only.
