Hublot

The present watch is a unique execution of a timepiece which Hublot originally produced in 50 examples in 2013 in collaboration with the famed car maker Ferrari for the release of their hypercar, LaFerrari. Observers can find many parallels between the design of the car and of the watch, one of the most immediately obvious is that the shape and appearance of the dial with visible inner workings bears more than a glancing resemblance to the exposed engine cowling on the rear end of the LaFerrari’s roof.

The watch itself is a technical marvel, and its centerpiece is the 50 days pour reserve achieved using 11 mainspring barrels. The watch holds the record for longest power reserve of any manually wound tourbillon wristwatch and must be wound using the included power tool due to the immense sustained torque required. The movement is made of 637 individual components and contains an astonishing jewel count of 105. 

The present watch is made unique from the limited edition by the green rubber strap and corresponding green accents, instrumentation and detailing within the watch itself. The immense case measures 46mm by 40mm and is made from titanium, resulting in a watch that is surprisingly light despite the large dimensions.
