The images of the lot also form part of the online condition report for the lot provided by Sotheby's. Any reference to condition in the online condition report does not amount to a full description of condition. The online condition report may make reference to particular imperfections of the lot but you should note that the lot may have other faults not expressly referred to in the online condition report of the lot or shown in the online images of the lot (for example, the online condition report may not specify mechanical replacements or imperfections to the movement, case, dial, pendulum, separate base(s) or dome). Launched in 2007, the Lange 31 Day power reserve is a technical tour de force. A relatively simple dial layout, with oversized date windows, time and small running seconds display are complimented by a power reserve calibrated to a remarkable 31 days. To achieve this, the hand wound caliber L034.1 featuring 62 jewels contains two mainsprings, one housed on top of the other that are both 1850 millimeters (roughly 10 x what is found in watches with conventions power reserves). Winding these mainsprings is not via the crown as would be expected, instead, it is supplied with a ratcheting winding key that connects to a port in the case back to manually wind the barrels. To ensure the smooth application of this astonishing power is a patented ‘constant force’ escarpment with remontoire spring that ensure the uniform levels of torque are delivered.
46mm in diameter and cased in pink gold, the current watch is in excellent condition and is presented with a full suite of accessories A. Lange & Söhne presentation box with outer packaging, International Guarantee book (undated), instructions manual, leather bi-fold and socket key
