Audemars Piguet

The reference 15202 was introduced by Audemars Piguet in 2012 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’ collection in 1972 with the reference 5402. Available only in steel and pink gold until 2017 with the introduction of a yellow gold variant, it is a modern interpretation of an icon, one of the most revered and desirable sports watches ever made. At 39mm, it replicates the size of the early Royal Oaks, with the AP logo on the located below the hands at 6 o’clock, an ‘homage’ to the early ‘A’ series examples. The case of the new jumbo is almost as thin as the original too, this time measuring a hair over 8mm, only 0.2mm thinker than the original and housing the caliber 2121 automatic movement that is visible through its exhibition case back. The bracelet remains as beautiful designed and finished as ever and is one of the most comfortable bracelets in modern watchmaking, this time its complimented but a double folding clasp
