The reference 2551 was one of Patek Philippe’s earliest automatic wristwatch models, and featured their original automatic movement, the reference 12-600 AT. To the best of our knowledge, only 7,100 movements were manufactured, and distributed for production of various automatic models including the present lot, a well preserved example of an early automatic timepiece by the firm.
