6¾-inch enamel dial with annular date and centre seconds, signed Bourdier, Hger Mecn. rue Mazarine No.28, the substantial movement with circular plates, pinwheel escapement mounted on the backplate, outside count wheel striking on a bell, the nine bar gridiron pendulum with knife-edge suspension and heavy lenticular bob, beat adjustment on the crutch, the case with a baluster gallery above glazed panels, ribbon and floral swag, the plinth with a frieze panel depicting putti at play
