offered en suite with the following lot
produced by Cassina, Italy
brass, skai, green velvet upholstery
27 x 31 3/4 x 32 in. (68.6 x 80.6 x 81.3 cm) each
Overall in very good condition. Both armchairs have been sensitively reupholstered at some point in the history of the piece in a green velvet fabric and white skai leather. The green velvet presents with light surface soiling, minor wear and areas of discoloration consistent with gentle use. The velvet seat of one chair presents with a larger area of rubbing to the velvet, not visually distracting. The white skai leather presents with scattered surface scratches, light surface soiling and minor areas of wear particularly concentrated to the arms as consistent with gentle use and not visually distracting. The brass legs present with light surface soiling and tarnish consistent with age and gentle use. This lot is offered together with a certificate of expertise from the Gio Ponti Archives. A sculptural pair of armchairs with strong geometric lines.
