Overall in very good condition. The “Grand Modèle” version of this sculptural design presents with wonderful and majestic presence when viewed firsthand, further enhanced by the combination of patinated copper and gilt bronze which adds to the naturalistic quality of the subject. The patinated copper surfaces present with a variegated surface and colors ranging from russet brown to hints of burgundy red. The gilding and patina with some very minor irregularities in application which are inherent to production. The copper, bronze and frosted glass shade each present with very minor surface irregularities and imperfections inherent to production as well. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician. A playful and functional form.
