Mark and period of Jiajing
明嘉靖 青花魚藻紋六管花插 《大明嘉靖年製》款
of globular form, resting on a straight foot and set with six short cylindrical spouts above, vibrantly painted with carp swimming amidst lotus blooms, leaves, waterweed, and other aquatic plants, a border of peach and flower sprays surrounding a stylized radiating lingzhi medallion at the top, each spout painted with a scrolling floral arabesque, the recessed base with a six-character mark within a double circle in underglaze blue, wood stand (2)
Diameter 4¼ in., 10.8 cm
The central spout with a minute glaze flake and a horizontal hairline crack measuring approx. 2.5 cm. A faint glaze line to the base. Overall with age-consistent surface wear and minor firing imperfections, including glaze gaps.
