3,000 - 5,000 GBP
A Paris (Dihl et Guérhard) porcelain centrepiece
gilt to simulate gilt-bronze and painted to simulate patinated bronze, modelled as two kneeling winged female figures holding wreaths, supporteding a pierced navette-shaped basket, on an octagonal base, stencilled red Mf de Dihl et Guerhard à Paris
16½ in. high, 42 cm.
18½ in. wide, 47 cm.
Overall of good appearance but in need of some restoration and cleaning, and for the bolts to be tightened. One figure has a wing broken and simply re-stuck, the other with a chip on the toe of her right foot. Some losses to the tassels on the corner of each cushion, some slight chipping and retouching to the extremities of the base, and some rubbing to the edges.
