A pair of Royal Worcester japonaiserie moon-flasks
of typical form with bracket handles and feet, moulded in relief, painted and gilt with portraits of a lady and gentleman, bust-length, turned to one side and wearing courtly dress, wihtin a roundels, the revsre with a crane and a songbird in flight, the ivory-coloured ground sprinkled with gilt, the first example with raised crowned disk mark

The vase with the male figure has restoration to the feet, possibly masking some replacement. The vase with the female figure has some minor restoration to one foot, a few small patches of wear to gilding, but overall of good appearance.
