engraved with the arms of King with a crescent for difference, the shaped oblong base on volute and pad feet fitted with inkwell, pounce pot and bell, the fittings unmarked

The arms are those of King, for Peter King (1709-1754) second son of Lord Chancellor King who succeeded his brother as 3rd Lord King and Baron Ockham in 1740. He was Outranger of Windsor Forest and died unmarried.
