9-inch painted dial with floral corners, strike/silent lever to upper left side, 12 + 12 hour ring, the centre with a recessed aperture painted with a Pallandian-style buliding in a rural landscape, day/night shutters, a gilt sun traversing the scene, signed and numbered John Thwaites, Clerkenwell, LONDRES, 2445, the arch with a moon disc against a cloudy night sky and lunar date track, the two train fusee movement with five knopped pillars, anchor escapement, geared remote winding, trip repeat striking on a bell, the backplate with engraved border and signed John Thwaites, Londres, punch numbered to the top edge of the front plate 2445, the restored case with concave-sided cresting and brass flambeau finials, fruiting vine and mask corner mounts, side carrying handles, sunburst side frets and foliate scroll feet
